Our 2018 Christmas Concert will be held on Sunday Morning, December 23rd 10:30am. We are excited to have the ArborWind Trio with us this year at Father’s Vineyard to perform a beautiful collection of classical Christmas music. Karen and Chip Hill will play the clarinets while Frank Watson plays the bassoon. Come join us for an inspiring time of worship as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.
We will be teaching on several key Hebrew words in the Old Testament that are translated “praise,” each having a unique and distinct meaning in the original language. When we learn the applications of these words, we will will be better equipped to adaquately praise the One who is worthy.
Come join us as we study together!
If you have a distorted image of God, you will have a distorted image of yourself. God put you in a place where He would always accept you and be well pleased with who you are. He put you in the safest place ever. He put you in Christ! His grace is the empowering presence of God that enables you to become what He sees when He looks at you. That’s why we must focus on being Christlike.
Oh, He is such a good, good Father!
Grumbling caused people to stop seeing miracles, become offended
by Christ’s words, and stop walking with Him. As it was then, so it is
today. Grumbling will ultimately cause you to stop walking with Jesus.
It is a killer. Incredibly, the early disciples (not just the Pharisees) found
fault with the Son of God! They had heaven in their midst and couldn’t
see it. That’s what a grumbling attitude can do.
This poison is prevalent in the church today. I tell you plainly: God
doesn’t want a grumbling people to represent Him on earth. If we are
habitually gossiping, grumbling or complaining, we should beware: the
path we are on leads away from Christ. …
Make lists of people and things that you are thankful to God for. Let’s
put an end to grumbling and complaining and become a people who
possess the wonderful life of God! Francis Frangipane
There was a cost. There was the cross. Freedom isn’t free.
With God’s help, Our country is standing because of those who were willing to pay the cost of freedom. The early days of fighting for freedom the Revolutionary War brought an unknown amount of casualties. Again, Freedom isn’t free.
America has always stepped up because America understands the cost of freedom. Why? Because America was founded on Christian values. The flag waves because of Christian values. Because we know in this country without His Holy Spirit, freedom can’t exist. That is why America is always on the front lines, standing tall against the rising darkness that brings bondage to the people. Those men and women whom we honor today, who gave the ultimate sacrifice, were on those front lines against this darkness. They stood for the flag, they stood for the constitution, they stood for the National Anthem and they stood for freedom.
If anyone should understand the cost of freedom – it is the people who have been given freedom through the cross of Jesus Christ.
Our freedoms are being compromised every day. We are losing so many of those liberties and freedoms. Our constitution is being criticized and under attack every day. Those men and women whom we honor today “stood up for freedom” so that we could be free. They gave their lives; the cost was high. We cannot let that cost be for nothing.
As we enjoy the freedom of backyard cookouts with friends and family, remember those who fought and died for it.
“You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve YOUR freedom. I hope you will make a good use of it.” -John Adams
We need to know the Holy Spirit as our Helper and the One who empowers. If we fail to acknowledge Him and know Him as the one who empowers us, we will struggle in our walk with trying to do things from our own ability.
Well, you know how that works out!
….. Starting from Galilee, after the baptism which John proclaimed. 38 “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him. Acts 10:37-39 NASB
