I came to Out of the Ashes on 03-15-26 because I needed help getting off drugs. When I got here, I was scared, but I jumped into my recovery. I started going to NA meetings, got a sponsor, and I also started seeing a psychiatrist to get put on my meds for depression, mood, anxiety disorder, and PTSD. Since I have been on my meds, I have started feeling so much better. I started school on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, to be a substance abuse counselor. I also started work at Waffle House and all of this would not be possible without me coming to Out of the Ashes and the love and kindness I have found here and by all the changes I have made in my life.
