Out of the Ashes is grateful to celebrate 10 years of serving individuals and families impacted by addiction and homelessness. What started as a simple act of opening a home has grown into a community, driven mission that continues to restore lives and bring hope to those in need.<\/p>\n

This milestone is not about any one individual, it reflects the power of a united community. From dedicated team members to faithful supporters, volunteers, and local partners, every life impacted has been made possible through collective compassion, commitment, and action.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not perfect but we try and the Lord does the rest with that!<\/p>\n

Helaina\u2019s Testimony<\/p>\n

On April 15th I came to Out of the Ashes because I needed to get sober and get my life back together. I was smoking weed and doing meth. I started meth in July 2025. I had never tried it until then, and relapsing took everything from me, my place to live, my kids, my car, all my clothes. I ended up in jail for 16 days and got out on probation for 18 months with my first ever drug charges.<\/p>\n

When I came here, I got sober and rededicated my life to the Lord and was baptized. With getting sober and turning my life back to God, I have fixed my relationship with my kids. I have found a new love for life, and I am clean and sober today thanks to the grace of God and thanks to Out of the Ashes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

BIG SHOUT OUT TO JAMIE! \"\ud83d\udd25\"<\/p>\n

Celebrating 8 months of continuous sobriety and deliverance!<\/p>\n

Jamie made a decision to surrender the high cost of low living and it shows. He got a sponsor, plugged in heavy with service, committed to the process, got a job\u2026 and now just got a car! \"\ud83d\ude97\"<\/p>\n

This is what happens when someone takes full advantage of the opportunity placed in front of them. Real change. Real progress. Real freedom.<\/p>\n

Jamie, we are proud of you. Keep going. This is just the beginning.<\/p>\n

We celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He is risen!<\/p>\n

Seven people gave their lives to the Lord and or rededicated their lives to Him. Heaven is rejoicing!<\/p>\n

We also celebrate Cody and Jerome, one year of sobriety! What a powerful testimony that God is still in the business of breaking chains of addiction and homelessness, one person at a time.<\/p>\n

We are so grateful for our community. Your love, prayers, and support make this possible. We truly couldn\u2019t do it without you.<\/p>\n

We give God all the honor, all the praise, and all the glory, in Jesus\u2019 name!<\/p>\n

Heather\u2019s Testimony<\/p>\n

In April of 2024 I became homeless because I had injured my ankle, then I lost my job. I had to give up the place I had been renting due to longer being able to afford the rent any longer. I stayed in my car for as long as I could but eventually had to turn it in because I wasn\u2019t able to afford it any longer either.<\/p>\n

A series of unfortunate events took place, and I ended up doing prison time. Not long, but enough to know it\u2019s no place anyone wants to go. It just led me into a series of more unfortunate events. Got out in August of 2025 and returned to a friend\u2019s place where I was safe and he helped me get through my ankle surgery, but I wasn\u2019t able to stay there until completely recovered. Matter of fact, I\u2019m still recovering and have had a few setbacks.<\/p>\n

Now migraines have been added to my diagnosis chart, with a few incidents of high blood pressure. This is common with migraines and head trauma, because my nose was broken in county jail, Rutherford County jail.<\/p>\n

Anyways, I needed a place to recover and heal my spirit. This is what led me to Out of the Ashes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

From the Founders \u2013 Out of the Ashes Ministries<\/p>\n

Ten years ago, in 2016, we said \u201cyes\u201d to a call from God that we didn\u2019t fully understand. We remember<\/p>\n

asking where the resources would come from, and the Lord simply asked for our obedience. That<\/p>\n

\u201cyes\u201d became Out of the Ashes. We started in our home, welcoming in strangers, walking alongside<\/p>\n

them, and helping them discover their true identity and value in Christ. What began as a step of faith<\/p>\n

has now grown into a ministry that has served over 3,000 individuals in Rutherford County. Every step<\/p>\n

of the way, we\u2019ve done the best we could with what we had, and we\u2019re still doing that today. Along the<\/p>\n

journey, God brought us together as husband and wife and blessed us with a beautiful family. We<\/p>\n

witnessed incredible miracles, like receiving a debt-free facility on Old Ross Road, where many lives<\/p>\n

were transformed. Then came 2020. In the midst of COVID, God called us again, this time to open a<\/p>\n

women and children\u2019s mission. It stretched us beyond what felt possible. We operated in multiple<\/p>\n

locations, faced financial and infrastructure challenges, and endured difficult seasons but God<\/p>\n

remained faithful. In 2021, through His provision and your support, we were able to purchase our<\/p>\n

current campus. Today, Out of the Ashes continues to be a place of refuge, offering a safe, sober<\/p>\n

environment where people can find hope, healing, and restoration. Now we are stepping into the next<\/p>\n

phase: sustainability. Our vision is to develop affordable workforce housing, creating a pathway from<\/p>\n

shelter to stability, giving individuals and families a second chance and a place they can call home.<\/p>\n

We currently have a remaining balance of $154,000 on our campus, and we are prayerfully believing to<\/p>\n

become debt-free so we can expand this mission for generations to come. It hasn\u2019t been easy, but the<\/p>\n

promises of God are still \u201cyes and amen.\u201d He is still saving, delivering, healing, and restoring lives<\/p>\n

today. This ministry exists because of you, your prayers, your generosity, and your willingness to<\/p>\n

stand with us. Many hands have truly made light work. To our board, our team, our volunteers, and<\/p>\n

every supporter: thank you. We are deeply grateful. All honor, glory, and praise belong to the Lord.<\/p>\n
