I’ve been studying Isaiah 40 for a Series called “They That Wait.” \u00a0WOW, what a wonderful study it is. While Israel was in Assyrian capitative, God begins to show them His Magnificence, Majesty and Might. Then He encourages His “captured people” to wait upon the Lord. The Hebrew picture here of “wait” is not necessarily about \u00a0time , but a picture of gathering yourself (mind , will, emotions) and tying (binding) all that you are to the hope and expectations of the Lord. \u00a0WOW! What a fresh revelation!<\/p>\n
This goes along with\u00a0Heb 6:17-20, “When God wanted to guarantee His promises, He gave His word, a rock-solid guarantee \u2014\u00a0\u00a0 18 God can’t break His word. And because His word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.
