The real battle ground for our spiritual well being takes place in the heart.\u00a0Proverbs 4:22\u00a0says, \u201cabove all else<\/strong>, guard you heart, for everything you do flows from it.\u201d Notice it did not say, here\u2019s one more thing to consider. It says, above all else, guard your heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Satan knows that if he can get our hearts attached to the wrong thing, he does not have to worry about us growing in our relationship to God. The enemy does not mind us loving God (somewhat), as long as we love something else just a little bit more.<\/p>\n

There is always something trying to attract our hearts. The battle is real. Idolatry is when I take anything that isn\u2019t God, and put it in the place where God belongs. We even make idols of our selves by saying, \u201cI don\u2019t care what anybody says or thinks, I\u2019m going to do what I want to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

We need to discover how to “above all else”guard our hearts against the lies and deception sent to us by the enemy and stand in the light that God gives us in the Truth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
