Purpose & Meaning is the Fruit of Responsibility

How to find more purpose & meaning

We all get bored from time to time. I have to admit, I’m jealous of those sometimes who find themselves bored, nevertheless I do understand. It seemsĀ  a sense of apathy and boredom with the day to day living is on the rise with so many in our society today. Even for the believer that knows their God and understands the incredible life given to them by Jesus can lose site of their purpose & meaning if not careful. How can this happen?

We all lose site from time to time on things that matter when we allow other things to distract us. The easiest thing in the world to do is become distracted. We live in a time where distraction are all around us via cell signal, WiFi, bluetooth, and streaming directly to us. The problem with all of these distractions are they often keep us from focusing on the things, people, and activities that matter most. It is in those areas of life that we find our greatest sense of purpose and meaning.

The greatest way to enhance your sense of purpose and meaning is take on responsibilities that you feel called, equipped, and passionate to do. However if you are like most people your first reaction when hearing take on more responsibility might be, “Are you kidding me!?!?” And to be honest I get it! You are probably like most who feel already warn out, tired, and over worked as it is. However did you know the tiredness and fatigue we may have could come from distractions we fall prey to? They can zap us of energy and motivation to engage the very activities that could bring us more meaning and purpose in our daily lives.

We all have daily task and things we have to do. However let me encourage you to avoid getting distracted with time taking, energy draining distractions that keep you from fully engaging in the very calling you’ve been equipped and commissioned to do. A life fully lived is one that’s fully engaged in the purpose & passion it’s been called to.

Blessings to you and through you!
