Bringing Healing Home: Lisa Barrett on The Wall That Heals

A time to honor. A place to remember. An invitation to our community.

Father’s Vineyard’s Director of Military Ministry,
Lisa Barrett, recently joined WNCW to talk about
bringing The Wall That Heals to Rutherford County.
We invite our church family and neighbors to listen and make plans to visit.

Why bringing it home matters

In the interview, Lisa explains how volunteering at an earlier stop
inspired her to help bring the memorial here. For veterans and families
who cannot travel to Washington, D.C., this visit brings remembrance
closer to home.

“Grief, sacrifice, love and remembrance don’t have an expiration date.”

— Lisa Barrett, speaking with WNCW

The traveling memorial is a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam
Veterans Memorial. Its visit offers a place to reflect, honor those
lost and help younger generations understand the human cost of war.
