Summer time is here

El Monte has been full of kids and youth!
At the beginning of the month, El Monte started welcoming summer staff and volunteers to receive training and get ready for summer camp season. All the youth that arrived as volunteers have been serving with precious attitudes and loving hearts towards campers. We are excited to hear testimonies of what God did during this season.

This week, our daughter Amelia is experiencing her first summer camp ever here at El Monte! We are praying for her, as well as for all the campers, that they encounter Jesus in a beautiful way.

This month Scott has been able to continue to clear the building site for the “El Monte’s Village Project” (the much needed staff houses). He has also been welding for the camp and hosting several archery workshops for youth.

Special prayer request:

As the rainy season came, we started to find too many scorpions inside our house. It has been very stressful to deal with this problem.
For the past few weeks Scott has worked on sealing every possible crack or opening in the house.
We are trusting that God will bless the work done on the house to make it safe and peaceful again. Please pray with us for no more scorpions in our home, and that we get to continue to truly enjoy this house for as long as God has us here.

Special praise report:

Elliot Gray will soon be two months old and we are all so in-love with him! He is such a blessing to our family.
We also thank God for Amelia Josephine, who turned 6 years old this month.
And last but not least, Scott and I turned 10 years married this month as well!
So much to thank God, so much grace from Him!
