RoCo Mark Your Calendars!
#FaithNight 2026 is coming July 18, 2026 at 6:00pm and you don’t want to miss it!
Last year we broke attendance records with over 2,000 people coming together for an incredible night of faith, community, and fellowship.
This event is about bringing our community together, lifting up the name of Jesus, and supporting the mission of breaking the chains of addiction and homelessness one person at a time.
We want to say THANK YOU to everyone who helps us help others. We truly couldn’t do this without your support. It takes a whole community working together and now more than ever, we need the Lord leading the way.

Testimony
Five years ago, an anonymous young mother came to Out of the Ashes broken, battling addiction, hopelessness, and uncertainty about her future. She arrived carrying not only the weight of drugs and alcohol addiction, but also the responsibility of caring for her child while trying to find a way forward. At one of the lowest points in her life, Out of the Ashes opened its doors and its heart to her.
Through love, support, accountability, and the power of Christ, she began taking steps toward freedom. Out of the Ashes stood beside her during some of the hardest seasons of her life, helping provide shelter, support, encouragement, and stability for both her and her child. Most importantly, she began to rediscover her worth, her purpose, and her identity in Christ.
Although life took another difficult turn and she has now been incarcerated for nearly five years, the seeds that were planted during her time at Out of the Ashes never stopped growing. Throughout her incarceration, she is grateful that Out of the Ashes has stayed by her side encouraging her and showing her love, she has continued seeking God, rebuilding her life from the inside out, and finding a new freedom that only Christ can give.
Today, as she prepares for her release in January, she walks with newfound hope, renewed faith, and a transformed heart. She shares with deep gratitude that Out of the Ashes helped her “get her mind back,” helped her see life differently, and played a major role in shaping the woman she is becoming today.
Her story is a powerful reminder that transformation does not happen overnight, and sometimes the journey is long and difficult. But God never wastes a story. Through every hardship, every setback, and every lesson learned, He continues to restore lives.
At Out of the Ashes, we believe no one is beyond redemption. We believe healing is possible. We believe chains can be broken. And we are grateful to walk alongside individuals as they discover freedom, hope, and new life in Jesus Christ.

Our brother Reggie, also known as “Bo,” came to Out Of The Ashes in November of 2025 wanting a different life. He was tired of the drugs, tired of the bondage, and wanted to learn a new way of living. Reggie was an amputee, and in many ways he had to relearn life all over again, one day at a time.
When Reggie first came, Pastor Pat asked him if he was saved. Reggie shared that he had never truly given his life to the Lord and had never prayed the sinner’s prayer. Pastor Pat told him that whenever he was ready, just let him know.
The very next week, Reggie did just that.
He opened his heart, prayed the sinner’s prayer, and accepted Jesus Christ into his life. What many people may not realize is that Reggie’s family had been praying for years for God to deliver him from drugs and to save his soul. God heard every one of those prayers.
Earlier this month, Reggie not only got saved, he got baptized.
Even through health struggles and hospital visits, Reggie had joy. The joy of the Lord was all over him. He would sing during chapel services and praise and worship, and he became an inspiration to all of us. His smile, his spirit, and his willingness to change touched many lives.
Then suddenly, the Lord called him home.
While our hearts grieve his loss here on earth, we rejoice knowing that Reggie left this world saved, redeemed, and free. There is no greater gift you can share with another human being than eternity through Jesus Christ.
To Reggie’s family: thank you for never giving up praying. God answered your prayers, and He answered ours too.

Last night’s recovery meeting at Out Of The Ashes was powerful. We were honored to have Felix and Brittney come in from Asheville and share their experience, strength, and hope.
We celebrated:
2 — One Year
1 — Six Months
1 — 60 Days
1 — Three Months
And several “Just For Today”
Tears were shared, testimonies were given, chains were broken, and God gets ALL the glory. There is something miraculous happening right here in Rutherford County. Lives are being restored, hope is rising, and people are discovering that recovery is truly possible.
We’re not anonymous around here, we recover, heal, grow, and become productive members of society. This is not a “me thing,” it’s a “WE thing.” We walk together, pray together, and fight together one day at a time.
This little light of ours we can’t hide it under a bushel, some wanted to share, and let others know there is always hope for anyone struggling with addiction, homelessness, hurts, habits, or hang-ups.
Thank you to everybody who serves, shows up, stays committed, and pours into others. Rutherford County DOES recover.
If you’re struggling and ready to give up the high cost of low living call 395-2000 and we’ll do our best to try to help you anyway we can.
If you’d like to help support us, you can go to our website at
www.outoftheashesnc.org and press donate now.
If you’d like to volunteer, you can come by one of our two locations 131 Countryside Dr., Forest City, NC Carolina and get a volunteer application or you can come to our resale store at 225 West Main Street and Spindale North Carolina,.
Thank you to everybody who helps us break the chains of addiction and homelessness one person at a time.
