The Battle For Your Heart

The real battle ground for our spiritual well being takes place in the heart. Proverbs 4:22 says, “above all else, guard you heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Notice it did not say, here’s one more thing to consider. It says, above all else, guard your heart.”

Satan knows that if he can get our hearts attached to the wrong thing, he does not have to worry about us growing in our relationship to God. The enemy does not mind us loving God (somewhat), as long as we love something else just a little bit more.

There is always something trying to attract our hearts. The battle is real. Idolatry is when I take anything that isn’t God, and put it in the place where God belongs. We even make idols of our selves by saying, “I don’t care what anybody says or thinks, I’m going to do what I want to do.”

We need to discover how to “above all else”guard our hearts against the lies and deception sent to us by the enemy and stand in the light that God gives us in the Truth.

Pastors Appreciation

Paul told the Thessalonians, “Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, and are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).

Dear brothers and sisters, make sure that you show your deep appreciation for those who cherish you and diligently work as ministers among you. For they are your leaders who care for you, teach you, and stand before the Lord on your behalf. They value you with great love. Because of their service to you, let peace reign among yourselves.          Passion
