Troop Fees

 

Trail Life USA National Membership Fees 

Membership fees cover the cost of national registration, insurance, background checks, and youth protection training.

Trailmen:

Youth members typically pay between $26 and $43 per year

Registered Adults:

Registered adult leaders pay between $43 and $47 annually.

 

Handbooks                 

Each Trail Life group Woodlands Trail and the older boys (navigators & Adventurers) need to have their own handbook.  Links are provided below to each book and a description of it.  It is also recommended that you purchase a plastic zip lock bag to slip the book in – especially when outdoors or camping.  The book should be brought to each meeting with the trailman.  Also, please be sure to write your name on the inside cover.

The troop may gave a copy of an old book, please ask one of the adult leaders if any are available.

Uniforms 

We have a link below to the “build your own bundle” section of the Trail Life Store.  We suggest you start with the Troop Uniform Shirt, Troop Uniform Shoulder Loops, and the Official Lanyard.  These components should be worn to each troop meeting.   The rest of the Uniform Bundle is up to you! Bundle and save up to 10% compared to buying everything individually!

The troop may have old uniform shirts, pants, shoulder loops, or lanyards available, please ask one of the adult leaders if any are available.  Please be sure to consider the sizing note listed on the site when making a purchase – Please note when looking at the sizing chart, there is a +/- 0.5″ variance for the Uniform Shirt and Light-Weight Cargo Pants.

Other Materials

No other materials are required for the troop, unless we are meeting with other troops in a larger event.  In that case, the full uniform (Class A) would be required.  Here is a link to the Trail Life USA Store.  Please check out all the areas and items available for purchase.  If you have any questions about needing an item, please ask one of the adult leaders for clarification.

 

The Troop Standard 

Earning the Official Troop Standard is a giant accomplishment for our Navigator and Adventurer trailmen. The Trail Life USA Troop Standard is an official part of the Trail Life USA uniform designed and manufactured to hold all Trail Life USA advancements for Navigators and Adventurers. Other standards may be used for non-advancement type medallions like those purchased from national or state parks. Trail Life USA advancements should not be placed on other standards.

Father’s Vineyard NC Troop-1201 leadership will provide the standard to each trailman earning it.
